Meet the tutors

Hello all, my name is Shannon and I am the A-Level Drama and Theatre Studies Teacher here at Barnsley Sixth Form College. In the past I have studied Performing Arts at both, BTEC and Degree level, for several years. After completing my BA Honors Performance for Stage and Screen Degree at Sheffield Hallam University, I then went onto complete my PGCE qualification in Post 16 and Further Education.

Alongside teaching drama, I am also a member of 53 Theatre Company, who frequently perform their plays at Sheffield’s Library Theatre. I believe in giving students the opportunity to explore as much of theatre as possible, which I believe is reflected within the course as students are able to dive into many different styles, practitioner’s themes and characters that aim to engage imaginations and inspire creativity.
