School and Colleges Liaison Team

What we do

We work closely with schools and colleges to provide independent advice and guidance to prospective students. We organise and deliver FE, HE, apprenticeship and career related activities in primary and secondary schools as well as taster sessions in college and the Higher Education campus. We have key links with all schools in the Barnsley borough and many of the borderline extra district schools. We are able to report trends to help inform marketing and curriculum departments. We take key messages directly into schools where we regularly deliver presentations and IAG sessions. We represent the College, Sixth Form, Apprenticeships and Higher Education at local education and careers events and national UCAS events. We offer information, advice and guidance to individuals, careers advisers and parents/carers to assist applicants in making their pathway choices. We are happy to support college departments to promote their area with additional activities, including taster sessions, workshops, visits etc
