You won’t have to pay tuition or exams fees* to study A Levels with us if:
We know being a student can be an expensive time so we offer a range of options to help all our students.
If you have a household income of less than £35,000 you could be eligible for financial support to contribute to the cost of travel, food and study programme essentials.
If you are 19+ and have a household income of less than £20,000 you could be eligible for support with travel, food and study programme essentials. If your household income is between £20,001 and £35,000 you could be eligible for travel funding.
To be eligible you must be enrolled and attending a course which is not ‘Full Fee Payable’. The course information team will be able to tell you if your course is full fee payable, or you can contact the Information Team to check.
All applications are means tested based on household income to which we must receive evidence of household income. Applications can take up to 10 working days before an assessment is made and due to limited funding the College cannot guarantee to support every application it receives so you are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
The Learner Support Fund will help eligible Students with the below types of support once your application has been completed;
Travel Cover costs; Students are recommended to apply for any discounted travel passes they are entitled to. Please refer to our student travel page as to what you may be entitled to.
Where possible, a travel pass will be awarded to Students once eligible. In cases whereby this cannot be possible, an alternative solution will be arranged with you once your application has been completed.
Food Credit Allowance; A contribution towards food credits will be awarded to you via a cashless system onto your Student Card. The College operate a cross-site initiative of cashless systems for both Staff and Students. Students will be awarded a daily or weekly allowance.
Study programme essentials: Once eligible, you will be automatically awarded with covering costs for materials you require as part of your course. This includes any books, kit or trips your study department have agreed for us to fund.
*Please be aware funding is based on your attendance on the course. Funding can be temporarily suspended if you are not attending scheduled classes.
