Stress Awareness Month:

April is stress awareness month and throughout the month we will be hosting out stress awareness poster competition!

Do you recognise your signs of stress? Do you know how to manage them? Take this free stress test to find out more about how you are currently feeling.

Bowel Cancer Awareness Month:

Bowel Cancer awareness month helps raise awareness about the sign, symptoms and facts. Did you know that bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and the second biggest cancer killer. Nearly 43,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year in the UK.

Wellbeing Week – Week commencing Monday 17 April 2023:

Our big wellbeing week event is back and it is bigger and better than ever. This year we will be hosting a carnival themed event with numerous activities and sessions throughout the week!

Monday: We will be in the Students’ Union running a range of wellbeing sessions alongside having some mindful sessions taught in one of the Hair and Beauty rooms

Tuesday: Zorbing is back! Tutors will be booking students on to come and join us at Honeywell where we will be hosting zorbing for students

Wednesday: Wellbeing Wednesday at the Sixth Form College. During the lunch period we will be hosting a society fare at the Sixth Form! Come and see what societies you could join

Thursday: Carnival day! We have a host of stalls, activities and goodies to give away. This will be at our Old Mill Lane site and will run from 10:00am to 2:00pm that day, come and see what we have got to offer

Friday: Feel good Friday will be the time to slow down from the week. We will have a range of information on our Facebook page about feel good activities that you could try. We will also be at the Sixth Form College in the Morning offering a range of activities that can support with stress!

Throughout this week we will also be in the Urban Park running our Picnic in the Park sessions! Come and spend your break in the lovely outdoors and see what activities we have to offer.
