We understand that this is a difficult time and want to reassure you that your application and future plans are important to us.
We know that you will be keen to move on to studying A Levels and want to support you as much as possible during this time.
Our staff are busy preparing a range of materials to help with your transition – further reading suggestions, activities, pastoral support and a chat facility so we can answer any questions. We will send you links to the website and Microsoft Teams in the coming weeks.
In addition we would normally invite you in for a “Step up to Sixth Form” taster session but obviously this is not possible at the moment with the current lockdown and government guidelines.
Instead we are going to be offering online sessions in June for you to get involved in. It will give you an opportunity to attend a subject based session and meet the teacher and hopefully some students too. You can try out as many subjects as you wish to help you decide if you are not 100% sure.
Our pastoral team will be running chat sessions to answer any questions about support, enrichment and progression. Our Academic Ambition Coordinator will be available to offer advice and guidance on suitable A level subject combinations.
We are not expecting you to appear or talk on webcam don’t worry! There will be a live chat option for you to type in any questions you might have. We will simply send you an invite on Zoom, then you would just log in and join the session.
