16 – 19 Tuition Fund Statement
The purpose of this statement is to set out how Barnsley College will utilise the 16-19 tuition fund. The fund is allocated to colleges to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The funding will be used to support a provision for all 16-19 learners including English and maths and across A Level and vocational courses where assessments may have been deferred due to the college closure.
The 16-19 tuition fund will be used to provide small group tuition to groups of between 3 and 5 learners. Eligible students have been prioritised based on results on entry as well as an assessment of individual needs including learners;
- who have not achieved a grade 4 in English and/or maths
- with an Education, Health and Care Plan
- with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), where disruption has been experienced
- where learning and assessment has been deferred due to lockdown

Higher Education Fee Policy
