Sixth Form shows its support for World Mental Health Day
Staff and students at Barnsley Sixth Form College came together to mark World Mental Health Day. The Sixth Form was filled with shades of green, the colour chosen by the charity this year to symbolise hope, strength and support for mental wellbeing.
To raise funds and awareness, the Sixth Form hosted a bake sale, with homemade treats generously donated by staff and students. Thanks to everyone’s kindness and participation, a total of £132.34 was raised. The proceeds will go to local mental health charity, Chillypep, helping to support vital community services and promote positive mental health.
Barnsley Sixth Form College is proud to stand together to break the stigma surrounding mental health and to show that every small act of support makes a difference.
Kelly Rinaldi, Principal at Barnsley Sixth Form College, said: “It was wonderful to see our Sixth Form community come together to support such an important cause. By wearing green and taking part in the bake sale, our staff and students have shown genuine care for one another and helped raise vital funds for local mental health services. Small actions like these make a big difference.”
