The first Virtual Open Event of this academic year will be held on Tuesday 10 November.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, the College has changed the format of the Open Event into a virtual one, meaning visitors can explore our range of courses from the comfort of their own home.
This virtual event will allow prospective students to attend online information sessions where they can chat to tutors and find out more about a specific course, career or future job markets and our connections with leading employers. They can also talk to Student Services about student finance, the Health and Wellbeing Centre, Job Shop and travelling to and from College campuses, including free coach services from a number of local areas. The Information, Advice and Guidance team will also be available to discuss options for those who may not know what is the best course for them.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the fantastic facilities and examples of students’ work in the virtual music chill out lounge.
The Virtual Open Event has been advertised for a 5.00pm start time and the finishing time for staff will be 7.30pm, 30 minutes after the advertised closing time. This is to allow people visiting areas enough time to finish talking with tutors without feeling rushed.
Please encourage anyone who might interested in studying at the College to come along to the event by visiting www.barnsley.ac.uk/virtual
