Barnsley Sixth Form College students support Remembrance Day and Children in Need

Barnsley Sixth Form College students have once again shown their commitment to the local community by supporting Barnsley Council’s Remembrance Day activity and raising funds for Children in Need.

Two learners, Katie Billingham and Adrian Swiatek, represented the Sixth Form at the Remembrance Day service, delivering a reading on behalf of the College. Their contribution was warmly received and reflected the respect and maturity shown by students each year.

Last week also saw staff and students take part in a pyjama day to raise money for Children in Need. The event created a positive atmosphere across the building and helped raise £160.61 for the charity.

These activities highlight the ongoing commitment of Barnsley Sixth Form College students and staff to civic engagement and charitable causes, both locally and nationally.

Kelly Rinaldi, Principal at Barnsley Sixth Form College, said: “Our students continue to make us incredibly proud. Their contribution to the Remembrance Day service demonstrated real maturity and respect, and the fundraising for Children in Need shows their enthusiasm for supporting important causes. I’m grateful to all staff and students for their involvement and delighted that we’ve raised £160.61 for such a worthwhile charity.”
